    Brian:

Do you know the song, “Ever Since the World Began” by Survivor? I was listening to it tonight during my workout and thought it had an awesome metaphor for this trek…so…I am dedicating it to you guys in honor of your journey up and down the mountain and for the service you are doing in Africa:).

    P. S. How do you say “peace” in the native language of the region?

I will let our public relations staff member for Iowa know. He will be communicating with the group and can let them know that the GPS tracker isn’t working.

      Thanks!

My family just received word that David Benson, along with his family, have a luminaria in memory of my sister, Vicki, who passed away this past October of ovarian cancer. We are so excited and we know Vicki is radiant in heaven as she learns of this tribute. She was an amazing woman – inspirational to many – as are all of you on this fantastic trip. Thank you for your courage and determination. We will be watching and praying you in the days ahead. May God give you safe trip, full of many memories and accomplishments! God bless you all!!!

Pole Pole. Swahili for slowly. This was the mantra as our family climbed Kili last June. Slowly to summit. Slowly to see. Slowly to make friends and slowly to fill your spirit. The journey is the best part! Pole Pole!
