Our Optimal Living Program offers a wide variety of evidence-based programs. The programs are led by medical staff and certified instructors, and they include indoor cycling, yoga, small group personal training, Tai Chi, individual coaching, pole walking, and more.

Our Optimal Living Program includes taking care of your mind and spirit as well. Our classes are provided in partnership with community partners and certified instructors. Join us for a variety of programming such as meditation, reiki, yoga, sound bath, art therapy, Tai Chi, survivor and caregiver support groups and more.

Each year, we lead a group of cancer survivors, caregivers and supporters on a truly, life-changing journey. We’ve traveled to Mt. Kilimanjaro, Utah, Machu Picchu, Mt. Everest, Nepal and more since 2011. The application to join a journey opens in late winter each year.

Our Hotel Program provides lodging for cancer survivors traveling more than 50 miles for treatment within the state of Iowa. In 2023, Above + Beyond Cancer provided more than 890 hotel rooms for well over 100 survivors. Many survivors would be unable to receive treatment without this incredible program.
