Cyndi is a breast cancer survivor. In September 2014, despite the odds, Cyndi is making the journey of a lifetime to Machu Picchu, Peru with a team of cancer survivors and caregivers led by Des Moines, IA non-profit Above + Beyond Cancer.

This fall, a team of 16 cancer survivors and 14 caregivers led by Above + Beyond Cancer will embark on a Transformational Journey to Machu Picchu, Peru. The team is made up of participants from 7 different states, representing 10 different types of cancer. While abroad, the team plans to visit a local cancer center to learn about cancer treatment in Peru.
